The Quick-Pin changes the way you think about unhooking implements. The Quick-Pin has a top sleeve held by a locking pin, a huge improvement over the regular hitch pin. The top sleeve is able to come apart by removing the locking pin, leaving just the shaft in the hitch, so that when the pressure is released the shaft will fall down through the hitch.
The reason for this design is for when the pin is pinched and cannot be pulled out because of the pressure on it or just for easier unhooking with one man operations. With the Quick-Pin, after the top sleeve is removed you can get back in the tractor to release the pressure on the pin, and the shaft will fall out using gravity as it’s advantage.
In case of a baler fire this pin could be very beneficial for unhooking faster and safer than ever before so that the tractor can be saved.
It can also be used for gravity wagons, as when trying to unhook the pressure can be easily put onto the pin, making it hard to pull out.
The Quick-Pin can be easily used for one man operations to release the pin, by letting the shaft fall through the hitch after the pressure has been released.
